COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RISK MANAGER
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Compliance/
Regulatory Risk Manager. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the entire Compliance spectrum outside of Money Laundering
- Assessing and supervising complex risk issues with monitoring activities and reports to business
- Advising management and staff on regulatory risk issues
- Assisting in projects (regulatory and remediation projects)
- Training management and staff on regulatory issues
- Developing internal regulations and processes
- Support the head of Compliance with the relationship with regulators (mainly FINMA)
- Coordinate and manage relationship with external auditor
- Ensuring the Bank complies with Swiss regulatory requirements and the RBS Group procedural guidelines and policies
- Assessing and supervising regulatory and reputational risks related to clients and their transactions
- Working closely with Private Bankers, Product Specialists and other Risk Managers on compliance and regulatory matters
Skills:
- Fluency in English and German a must, other languages highly desirable
- Excellent communication and proven client management skills with the ability to express complex ideas in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, delivery-focused, driven manner
Required experience:
- University education, plus professional qualification as a Lawyer
- Audit background a plus
- Proven experience of working with in Compliance areas of a Bank (7-10 years)
- Proactive, 'can-do' approach- capable of working with strategic thought and action
- Proven understanding of the needs of clients and Private Bankers
