COMPLIANCE MANAGER - COBS

An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to join a leading Financial Services organisation based in Northampton on a six month contract. As Compliance Manager you will hold responsibility for regulatory compliance monitoring plans and assessing the level of compliance across the business.

£350 - £450 per day

COMPLIANCE MANAGER - COBS RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To undertake the completion of a continuous programme of monitoring activities, in line with the agreed Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Plan as directed by line management, in order to assess the level of compliance across the business with the applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Provide to the Head of Monitoring, on a timely basis, quality written reports for senior management identifying key findings from monitoring reviews and remedial actions agreed with management.
- To provide support to the business leadership and teams to meet requirements in a way that enhances business and shareholder value.
- To work with the wider team and the business to recommend the implementation of appropriate corrective action.
- Plan own focus and activity and undertake the completion of a continuous programme of monitoring activities in line with the agreed Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Plan as directed by line management, to meet Monitoring Team objectives. This will involve conducting reviews of written procedures, substantive and control-based testing, visiting business areas and departments, conducting assessments.
- Prepare and deliver appropriately tailored, high quality written reports that clearly inform the various Businesses and other internal/external parties, as appropriate, of the standard of regulatory adherence in the areas covered. Such reports should provide an effective early warning system where issues are identified, or give comfort where acceptable standards of compliance are in place. Identify non-compliant activity and develop suitable remedial actions, reporting findings through line management.
- Assess and report on the status of remedial action identified within reports until resolved/concluded.
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to support in the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
- Complete and support in the reporting of monitoring activity and regulatory risks as directed by line management to support in the timely identification and oversight of regulatory risks.
- Keep up to date on all regulatory related issues across a range of topics
- Be aware of changes to the business plans to ensure appropriate monitoring support is provided
