Compliance Manager - AML, OFAC

The Compliance Manager will function as the Team Lead for all OFAC and anti-money laundering (AML) activity within the bank's Financial Intelligence Unit. This person will manage all processes to comply with OFAC Sanction Programs, PATRIOT ACT, BSA, AML, and Export and Anti-Boycott Laws, and will oversee daily operations by coaching and managing a team of analysts. The Compliance Manager must ensure operational integrity by reviewing daily workflow, verifying accuracy of alert responses, and adjusting for new regulatory issues. Responsibilities: - Assist OFAC manager with internal/external audit responses. - Participate as needed with multiple projects and apply program enhancements to OFAC operations. - Provide regulatory guidance and advise the business lines in order to ensure full OFAC compliance. - Continuously evaluate operational/production routines and systems; formulate and recommend changes to improve processes and create efficiencies. - Manage a team of OFAC Analysts and advise the OFAC Officer on trends and issues. Qualifications: - Bachelors at minimum; advanced degree and/or industry certification preferred. - 6-10 years of OFAC/AML experience in a large US bank or related institution with at least 4 years direct managerial experience. - Ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy under pressure situations.
