Compliance Manager

Harvey Nash is looking for a Compliance Manager for a 7 + month project in Switzerland.

The role is for a candidate to ensure that business process risks are assessed and related compliance are in place in line with clients' policies eg Financial Control Manual (NFCM) requirements, including internal and external regulations, Divisional Finance (and other functions like supply chain) and outsourcing partners for a defined area of responsibility, eg R2P. and to provide deliverables according to Project or NFCM schedule and coordinate with Divisional Finance and Outsourcing providers (O&O) on establishing and maintaining an adequate control environment.

You are responsible for
- supporting business process risk assessment and monitoring implementation and progress according to the implementation of standard business processes
- Aligning finance processes throughout internal customers and ensuring compliance with local requirements including NFCM
- Providing all required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedule
- Ensuring risks are addressed by adequate controls per internal customer
- Test of controls, including Segregation of Duties
- Test Divisional Finance and O&O key controls
- Keep tracking of own and Divisional Finance/O&O Action items/deficiencies (may come from different sources like Internal Audit, NFCM self assessment, PwC etc)
- Risk Assessment and Process walkthroughs as required/requested for the business processes
- Coordinating and supporting SOX 404 attestation processes
- Supporting implementation of standard processes as defined in the global blueprints and escalate any exceptions to the standards
- Ensuring understanding of the standard processes and business risk assessments and the controls related requirements
- Monitoring and improving compliance Embedded in business process
- Leading or participating business process reviews/walk-throughs, conducting ad hoc audit/compliance checks on a regular basis
- Conducting ad hoc audit/compliance checks at Divisional Finance as required
- Identifying root causes of problems and recommend controls or business process improvements to address them in coordination with CFC and Global process owners
- Assisting in the creation of new SOPs for major business areas, reviewing periodically existing SOPs and ensuring compliance with and communication of SOPs
- Coordinating with IGM officers to gain oversight on overall IT compliance status within the FSC
- Being involved in IT related projects to assess potential impact on controls and compliance
- Acting as SoD validator for SAP GRC Access Control
- Raising awareness of key business risks and risk response in the organization
- Preparing and supporting FSC & Divisional Finance for audits
- Providing/initiating training on compliance requirements to controls owners in FSC, Division and third party service providers
- Providing deliverables based on due dates

Requirements

- University Degree in Economics or Business Administration (or equivalent), preferably specialising in Finance
- Qualified in accounting/IFRS, SOX/ICFR, NFCM
- Experience in finance processes and shared services
- Analytical Skills - be able to prepare and analyze data and draw sound conclusions
- Technical skill set, including SAP (ERP), data mining and other GRC/control tools
- Good communication skills throughout all levels
- Operational Decision Making - possess strong decision making skills
- English, depending on location: 1 of major languages (German, French, Spanish, etc.)
