Compliance Investigations Officer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Compliance Investigations Officer to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Compliance Investigations Officer, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

The key focus of the role will be to undertaking ongoing risk based monitoring of International Banking transactions in-line with Group AML Policy Standard.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

You will be conducting full case investigation of all escalated ML alerts, utilising RBS internal/external sources/systems, to conclude a recommended action, maintaining of case records to ensure robust audit trails, conducting targeted review of High Risk Correspondent Bank transactional activities to identify red flags and higher risk characteristics of the account, providing inputs into divisional policies, procedures and risk assessments, participating in tuning and optimisation of transaction monitoring systems, as required.

COMPETENCIES: You will have previous work experience in reviewing transactions and information for potentially suspicious activity and performing AML or financial investigations within investment banking and transactional services banking environment ( incl. Correspondent Banking). Experience in Credit Analysis or Forensic Accountancy would also be useful. You will have Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and be well versed in AML and Terrorist Financing emerging trends.
