Purpose

The role within the Payment System Security team within Risk, Compliance and Corporate Services (RCCS) demands sound security/risk analytic and relationship management skills to conduct the management and operation of Account Information Security (AIS) Programme.

The AIS programme provides the assurance framework to ensure that clients, and their merchants and service providers protect cardholder data according to the requirements of PCI DSS. This programme has led the industry, in developing new technology and assurance requirements that allow merchants and service providers ever greater flexibility in how they meet the requirements of PCI DSS. These new strategies are vital, but they have as a consequence increased the complexity of the AIS programme, and therefore the way the programme is managed, operated and analysed to determine the overall level of assurances of security in the Payment System.

This is a maternity cover of 10 months.

Key Accountabilities

The role will be required to actively contribute to the management of the AIS programme and the analysis of the results in order to developing a balanced risk assessed appreciation of the assurance of the payment system. They are responsible for managing the relationship with Acquirers and providing the first response triage to their queries on all aspects of how PCI DSS requirements apply to clients, their merchants and service providers and the AIS Programme.

Operation: Develop and maintain the reporting processes and templates used by clients to report on their obligations under the AIS Programme.
Analysis: Analyse and develop management information of member reporting against the AIS programme, in order to provide the organisation with a coherent and comprehensive assessment of how cardholder data is being protected.
Research: Use the data warehouse to conduct further analysis of payment transaction information in order to determine if and where payment transactions are being initiated incorrectly or without the appropriate security controls.
Assist the Head of Payment Systems Security in developing and executing all data security compliance programmes.
Develop and maintain supporting material (presentations, training materials, market specific guidance) for the AIS programme.
First line support to address clients' PCI DSS questions in respect of the members AIS Programme implementation related issues.

Essential Criteria

Knowledge and understanding of card payment transactions practices and message data structures.
Ability to write clear management information and assessments.
The ability to analyse data through sound reasoning and structured thinking.
Some awareness and/or experience in Information and IT Security risk management.
Knowledge of PCI DSS, and a reasonable awareness of PCI PTS and PCI PA-DSS.
Ability to develop strong, open and cordial relationships with clients
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Use of MS office suite, with strong MS Excel skills

Desirable Criteria

Assurance/Compliance management functions
Financial/Banking/Retail Industry experience preferably from a card acquiring business.
European language skills.
SQL techniques and complex query development
