Compliance Business Analyst

* All aspects of business analysis, including gap analysis, end-state design, requirements gathering, scope management, testing and deployment support.
* Ensuring solutions that are designed align with the strategic direction of the group, making use of current components.
* Lead business and technical requirements gathering.
* Document processes, workflows, current and target states.
* Creation of quality functional specifications and working with the developers in the creation of technical specs.
* Work with technology teams to develop solutions that meet requirements and are implemented in a timely manner.
* Develop requirements and use cases to support quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
* Acquire and provide subject matter expertise.
* Keeping up-to-date with the changing regulatory environment.
* Work with the various vendors to evaluate system requirements of solution(s) being proposed, opine on feasibility and aligning appropriate resourcing internally to accomplish tasks by due dates.
* Provide architectural direction on technology components and sizing to ensure the solution will fit the needs of the business
* Assist with the implementation of solutions to meet business and regulatory timelines using good design standards and practices.
* Assist in performance testing and QA process of proposed solutions.

The rate will be based on experience, but they are looking to pay for a senior consultant.

Experience Required:

* Minimum of 7 years in an IT department within an investment bank/finance sector.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large scale deployments in a PM/Project Lead/Lead BA role.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience with vetting/installing/configuring vendor solutions, or full life-cycle software development experience leveraging varied technologies for in-house solutions.
* Proven record of working with large scale regulatory initiatives. Experience working with enterprise-level reporting, data, and requirements.
* Strong understanding of the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business function / operations.

Experience Preferred :

* Experience of working on large, multi-threaded, globally distributed and complex projects.
* Experience of working with the Compliance function within an Investment Bank.
* Experience with surveillance solutions and case management.
* Experience with web based dashboard, portal and charting solutions and methodologies.

Skills/Aptitude Required :

* Ability to work in both Agile and traditional development model.
* Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Visio, Project, Excel, Word, etc), SharePoint and testing tools (e.g., Quality Center). Experience in RDBMS, SQL Server, Oracle, etc. Experience in Unix, Linux, Windows Server 2008.
* Possess working knowledge of database to perform queries to help troubleshoot during testing.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to communicate issues to both technical and non-technical audience.
