Compliance Advisor

My client, an exciting Financial Services organisation are currently seeking a Compliance Adviser to act as a Compliance Advisory contact for designated business lines within Corporate and Institutional Banking.

The successful Compliance Adviser will have the following responsibilities:

To provide sound, accurate and commercial advice on FCA regulatory issues affecting the business, enabling it to operate in accordance with the FSA high level standards and industry best practice.

To support the relevant business line advisor and its key units; Retail Product Design & Distribution, and Structuring.

- Monitoring and managing regulatory developments in retail environment:
- monitor regulatory websites for new developments
- draft/amend policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes
- impact analysis on existing systems and controls
- implementing process change if required
- drafting summary documents for business wide distribution
- Product development - advise on new and existing products and all regulatory activities relating to product design and distribution
- consistency with COBS, SYSC and TCF responsibilities of product provider
- Review of all material
- Liaison and collaboration with other control departments/divisions such as Legal, Tax, Operational Risk, Data Protection, MLRO

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

- Extensive knowledge of FCA COBS, SYSC and TCF requirements
- Sound knowledge of Structured Retail Products.
- Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering regulations and requirements, MCOB, ICOB and BCOB Handbooks
- Detailed understanding and experience of regulations affecting Product Design and Distribution eg product intervention, RPPD, RDR etc
- Experience of operating in a front-line, FCA facing regulatory environment
