Completions Engineer

Our client, a privately-held natural gas and oil company engaged in onshore properties in the United States is seeking a completions engineer for their Downtown Houston location.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee the design and execution of completions for wells drilled in the specific area. This will include well planning, casing design, material and equipment selection, evaluation, stimulation design, quality assurance and post-job evaluation.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction via more efficient completion practices or modified completion designs. Focus on value-add techniques that balance production enhancements versus cost increases.
* Communicate with other team members to ensure technology exchange required to develop and maintain best-practices throughout company.
* Work in conjunction with field operations personnel to optimize wellsite safety performance and operational efficiency.
* Prepare cost analyses, estimates and AFEs for the completion of wells.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years as a Completions Engineer with a proven track record of accomplishments. Specific success within a resource play business model is strongly preferred.
* BS in Engineering required.
* Experience in horizontal shale completions / operations including high pressure and temperature environments.
* Expertise evaluating completion efficiency and reservoir performance.
* Experience with frac models a plus.
* Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship is required.
