Projektbeschreibung
- Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Determines payroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security.
- Processes quarterly and annual taxes including 941, and W-2's.
- Balances the payroll accounts within payroll system and to general ledger by resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll guidelines by updating policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains payroll staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains payroll staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Develops and monitors key performance indicators for payroll department.
- Develops effective, streamlined and efficient processes and procedures for payroll department.
- Acts as project manager for payroll upgrades, enhancements and continual process improvement.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- BS in Business or Accounting preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
- At least 3 years supervisory experience.
- At least 7 years' experience with processing payroll.
- PeopleSoft Payroll experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills needed.
- Flexibility of shift and hours is necessary.
- Must be able to manage processes, people and data.
- Must understand wage and compensation structure, benefits administration, workers compensation.
- Must have specific understanding of FLSA.
- Must understand federal, state, and local tax requirements and filing deadlines.
- Must have financial skills and accounting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Exceptional guest service skills, courtesy, professionalism skills are required.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must display exceptional positive team player attitude.
