COMPENSATION ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Walnut Creek, California.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Knowledge of current compensation practices and trends
- Job description development and evaluation
- Implementation of compensation policies and programs.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develops job descriptions/job family matrices
- Audits jobs for content, performs job evaluations and job matching and market prices jobs accordingly
- Conducts FLSA reviews with guidance, participates in the Job Family Matrix and FLSA review/validation efforts
- May be assigned to a specific area of accountability within the Job Family Matrix and/or FLSA review teams (market pricing, competencies, Americans with Disabilities Act, FLSA review requirements, tracking/reporting, and other project-based requirements)
- Determines appropriate benchmark matches and other data parameters for participation in the completion of salary survey submissions
- Implements and administers compensation policies and programs
- Reviews salary adjustments for compliance within guidelines

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent education required.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a compensation professional with knowledge of current compensation practices and trends including analysis and/or design of compensation plans and market analysis that supports corporate strategic initiatives required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong customer service, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to give presentations and consult with management within the organization.
- Able to work both independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision making.
- Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Word including strong analytical and expert level Excel skills to perform complex analyses with spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday preferred.
- Experience IT industry strongly preferred.
