Community Safety Intelligence Analyst sought by our Local Authority client for an initial 3 month contract based in London.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Our client is committed to making their area a safer place and this role is a key part of that commitment. They are looking to strengthen their well respected Community Safety Team within the Community Safety Unit.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Community Safety Analyst will bring with you substantial analytical experience and lead in analysis of information and intelligence from the Police, Council and other partners to assist in the delivery of the Community Safety Partnership Strategy.
- Intelligence Analyst will collect, evaluate, collate and analyse information from a wide variety of internal and external sources relating to committed crime, criminal intelligence policing activities and law enforcement matters in order to produce high quality analytical products.
- Community Safety Analyst will support intelligence operations in accordance with the Metropolitan Police Policing Plan through the timely delivery of National Intelligence Model products that inform the decision making process.
- Intelligence Analyst will analyse relationships between different entities to establish hierarchy and structure to identify intervention points, information gaps and further information requirements to facilitate the disruption of criminal or other related activities.
- Vetting clearance is a pre-requisite of employment in designated posts and the post holder will be subject to a vetting assessment Minimum requirements Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) 2 years experience of crime analysis, problem solving and strategic assessment processes Intelligence analysis qualification

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience of working within a Community Safety Partnership or similar multi-agency working environment
- Experience of intelligence analysis with a specific focus on a broad range of community safety issues
- Experience of creating Analytical Products as prescribed within the National Intelligence Model (NIM)
- Experience of using analytical tools including Excel, MapInfo, i2 Analyst Notebook and Business Objects
- Experience of contributing intelligence products to undertake a civil and criminal enforcement action, including reports submitted at court.
- Knowledge of the Troubled Families Programme and monitoring performance based outcomes
- Awareness of the responsibilities on the local authority afforded by the Crime & Disorder Act 1998
