Community Nurse - Oxford

Service Care Health has an exclusive position available for a large NHS Trust in the Oxfordshire area. We are currently recruiting for a number of District Nurses for long term contracts throughout the Oxford area.

A qualified general nurse, adult branch, previous experience as a district or community nurse is desired although not essential as training will be provided. Principle responsibilities of the role will include;
*Injections - IM, Sub-cut
*Catheterisation - male, female and supra-pubic
*Wound care - leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds and lacerations
*Compression bandaging
*Pressure damage risk assessment and preventative care
*IVs - PICC line antibiotic administration, flushing, dressing and bung change
*Syringe drivers
*Blood glucose monitoring
*Holistic assessment

You will predominantly working alone in patients homes or other community settings including health centres. You must also have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside other healthcare professionals including physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
