Communications Surveillance Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Allegis Global Solutions are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Communications Surveillance Analyst to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Communication Surveillance Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

The key focus of the role is toreview, analyze and investigate the alerts that have been generated by RBS M&IB's Communications Monitoring systems. Alerts will be targeted for market abuse scenarios as well as other potential breaches of RBS M&IB policy.

ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS:

You will be responsible for carrying out reviews of audio communications, ensuring that alerts are actioned (closed) in a timely manner and where necessary carrying out further analysis/investigation and ensuring appropriate escalation to relevant management, conducting investigations on the back of the alerts, including further electronic and voice communications retrievals, liaison with Advisory Compliance, HR and Legal and interviewing of Front Office staff, providing communications monitoring MI and trend analysis to appropriate management.

COMPETENCIES:

You will have previous work experience in a similar role in a leading financial institution and agood knowledge of the regulatory environment, in particular the Market Abuse directive.
