Communications Specialist Job

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, Missouri.

Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Experience driving project communication efforts forward while using metrics to measure effectiveness,
- Development of implementable and actionable plans within a structured change Management approach

What You'll Be Doing:
- Identifying audience groups and impacts (eg, user community and super-users) to facilitate successful accomplishment of project goals.
- Support communication manager and strategy consultant in building project, departmental, divisional and leadership strategies and use pre-existing communication opportunities to move strategy forward.
- Act as a writer and editor for various communication vehicles, both on and offline.
- Prepare employee communication materials that will help facilitate change and create excitement around Global Infrastructure programs and projects.
- Develop a robust communication measurement program and work with peers to ensure positive ROI on measured communication deliverables.
- Use communication metrics to implement best practices with regard to communication and prepare detailed recommendations around communication opportunities (new channels) and risks.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Exceptional project management skills with specific focus on moving project communication forward and aligning to project goals and objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to form relationships at all levels within IT and throughout the company.
- High level of comfort with ambiguity and ability to be flexible and optimistic.
- Persuasiveness in collaborating across a matrixed organization.
- Expert level skill in MS Office package (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communication or related field with a focus or career goal on internal communication and/or employee engagement
- Three to six (3-6) years of communication experience, preferably in a large company in an internal role
- Strong component of project communication management in previous roles
- Previous experience with a Matrix reporting structure with accountability for large projects and team performance.
