Communications Specialist

Work in internal communications, with a focus on the divisions Intranet. Tasks will include writing, researching and editing news, posting calendar events, publishing the online newsletter, and identifying and uploading images for a new photo database.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Producing dynamic content for the Intranet, including news stories, videos, image slideshows and calendar events.
- Writing copy and headlines for various internal communications.
- Assisting in employee event planning.

SKILLS:

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

- 2-5 years of experience in journalism/mass communication/public relations.
- Knowledge and experience using digital communication technologies to communicate with specific target groups.
- Experience with employee communication and engagement on a global scale.
- Must be customer-minded.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Knowledge of AP Style.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in the life science industry, preferably ag biotech
- Event planning experience
- Experience working in a content management system
- Online newsletter publishing
