Communications Project Manager

This individual will understand the systemic nature of a global organization and possess the attributes necessary to deliver intended results in such an environment. This individual is responsible for planning, managing, and leading project activities, gathering submission data from different parts of the organization, and delivering on organizational commitments.

Project Program Management:
- Manage award application and communications project workstreams in an integrated manner across functions and sub-functions
- Partner with functional lead to deliver projects within clearly defined cost, quality and time criteria
- Identify, manage, and resolve key linkages and cross-project interdependencies dependencies
- Partner effectively with third party organizations/firms to deliver project results
- Apply project/activity prioritization methodologies to ensure appropriate use of resources (human and other)
- Escalate issues, implications, and recommendations to key stakeholders in a manner that drives informed decision making and desired results
- Orchestrate the production of regular status updates by Project Leaders/Teams and the review of these updates to highlight status, issues, and achievements as necessary to deliver project success
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent operational and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on partnering. They will have strong business acumen and understanding of business case development along with large scale project execution experience. They will be results oriented and demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage competing needs, resolve complex issues, and manage contention under pressure. Candidates will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and have a history of high integrity interactions in all business conduct.
- Strong business acumen with excellent project management skills and the proven ability to deliver results through people, either with or without formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to accept ownership of complex situations and be accountable for delivering results working with cross-functional teams and colleagues at all levels of an organization
- Excellent written and verbal (formal and informal) communication skills
- Solution orientation - this person identifies and capitalizes on opportunities and focuses on issues, implications, recommendations, and results... NOT problems
- Sound professional judgment and persistence, a positive, infectious attitude, and strong political acumen and agility
- 5-7 years of project management and related experience
- Previous Employer of Choice award application experience a plus Education and Training
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or related HR field
- Desirable: MBA or Masters of Science in Business, PMP Certification, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
