Communications Officer

Sopra Steria Recruitment are looking to recruit a Communications Officer in the North East of England for a 4 month contract.

Responsibilities:
o To analyse complex information and present it in an accessible way for the media, the public and other stakeholders.
o To ensure the organisations achievements receive appropriate and effective publicity to promote the profile of local health services and that local people are made aware of new services and developments.
o To identify, where possible, issues before they become crises which may damage the reputation of the organisation and work with senior colleagues to ensure appropriate internal and external communications plans are in place.
o To facilitate media training for senior colleagues within the organisation.
o To ensure effective two-way internal communications within the organisation. This will include development of an Extranet and the use of new technology including vidcasts and e-bulletins.
