The candidate should be able to communicate in an articulate manner both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities include:
* Creating press kits and packets as needed
* Assisting with the creation and distribution of press releases and other written materials
* Assisting with representing at community events
Administrative
* Working with Gorkana to capture and log articles on a regular basis
* Assisting with maintenance of department's calendar
* Sales and marketing material creation
* PowerPoint expert/presentation developer
* Excel expert
* Graphics capability
Communications/Marketing
* We will soon look to develop our online presence via social media. Assistant would take a lead in implementing this
* Updating and writing content about the company
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organised.
The candidate should have an interest in media and communications, and must be a skilled writer.
Strong web research skills, a familiarity with major media outlets, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are mandatory
