My client is a large blue chip organisation and one of the market leaders within their industry sector. They are currently looking for a Communications Manager to work on a contract for up to 18 months.

Job Description:

Plans the communications approach, ensuring it complements the programme communication strategy and any other business-as-usual activities. Is the overall focal point for all communication responsibilities, providing the required communication support to the project team and the business. Works as part of the wider programme communications team.

Key responsibilities:
- Designing, developing and delivery of operational communications for the project (ie explaining what change is required) and developing strategic content (ie explaining why change is required)
- Ensuring the project communication approach reflects the culture of the impacted business areas
- Using new and existing communication channels and networks to raise awareness of the project Designing, developing and delivering project communication collateral
- Challenging existing approaches within the Change Framework through the identification of new, innovative communication concepts
- Seeking feedback on the effectiveness of communication to adapt future approaches and improve standards
- Contributing to programme-wide communications, including the provision of expertise to help achieve objectives
- Utility experience is highly desirable
