COMMUNICATIONS LEAD - HSBC

HSBC have created a Group Data Management Programme to improve the way in which the bank manages its data assets. We have created a Group Data Organisation, including a central Data Management Office (DMO), to deliver the Group Data Management Programme.

The DMO has a requirement for Communications Lead. This role holder will drive the development and implementation of the overall communications strategy, lead execution of that strategy across the group, and manage on-going production of communications materials.

Responsibilities

- Define key stakeholder groups and their specific communications requirements
- Lead on-going development of the Group Data communications strategy to meet the needs of the various stakeholder groups across the bank.
- Develop a compelling story
- Refines existing plan to ensure Group DMO remit and activity is:
- visible across the Group
- understood by senior GB/GF stakeholders
- provides context for GB/GF plans
- Assess the effectiveness of communications through various measurement activities.
- Ensure that communications documentation is appropriately stored and Identify and raise communications risks/issues in line with audit requirements and pro-actively drive their resolution/mitigation
- Set direction for data communications across Global Businesses and functions and co-ordinate with their data communications managers to support their planning and delivery, and ensure their messaging is in line with group level messaging.

Experience

- Significant experience developing, managing and delivering internal communications for a large complex programme
- Strong experience of data management and implementing data programmes preferred
- Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
- Strong people and team management experience
- Proven stakeholder analysis and communications planning and delivery experience
- Strong written and oral communications skills
