COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER

A Communications Engineer with Naval Platform, Communications and Integration experience is required to work in a 6 months contract for our Defence client based in Bristol

This is a 6 month contract working for a leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE Communications Systems Engineer to install and integrate a communication system and subsystems onto a Naval Platform.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER

- Background in Military Communications, RN communications, voice, data and radio products.
- Knowledge of appropriate engineering development methodologies, strategies.
- Experience of supplier technical management/liaison.
- Good organisational and oral and written communication skills.
- Work with suppliers to guide solutions and to define interfaces to the ship and other subsystems.
- Maintain functional and physical data in the ships integrated architecture framework.
- Be the subject matter expert for individual subsystems.

The role is based in Bristol - commutable from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Worcester, Cirencester, Swindon, Devizes, Trowbridge, Bath, Taunton, Bridgwater, Weston-Super-Mare, Newport and Cardiff.
