COMMODITY LEADER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Houston, TX.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Develop and Manage Sourcing of key Indirect CAPEX, EHS and P&E materials and services across multiple O&G facilities
- Follow the O&G direction/strategy on the commodity and engage Matrix resources across O&G to leverage broader initiatives
- Drive the commodity strategy to provide the highest value, inclusive of cost reduction, quality, on-time delivery/services, safety and compliance
- Activities include supplier development/approval-qualification/negotiations/contracting/RFQ/eAuctions
- Drive cost reduction through supplier development, optimized supplier utilization/footprint and leverage of broader GE.
- Collaborate regularly with other Sourcing team leaders to ensure alignment with strategic sourcing goals & initiatives
- Effectively communicate status on projects on a weekly basis
- Negotiates contract with suppliers based on GE standard documents.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Cross-functional experience and experience working across cultures, teams and time zones with ability to handle multiple tasks in compressed timeframes
- Demonstrated negotiating skills and contract experience
- Proven track record of delivering results and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment
- Proven project management skills with ability to deliver results on time and on budget
- Decisive
- Experience that demonstrates technical knowledge and understanding of the Energy segment required
- Sourcing experience preferred
- Team player having ability to interact and influence multiple functions and levels both within the business and with external suppliers

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced Degree, MBA preferred
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a strong focus on data-driven decision making
