Commodity Futures Application Support Specialist

COMMODITY FUTURES APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST, APPLICATION SUPPORT

OUR CLIENT, A FRENCH BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY IS LOOKING FOR A COMMODITY FUTURES APPLICATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST FOR A 3 MONTH CONTRACT TO BE BASED IN LONDON.

My client is looking for an Application Support Specialist with strong background in investment banking, Derivatives, commodities and futures

Key Deliverable:

- Production support
- Production chain's monitoring during London shift
- Production issues troubleshooting: liaise with other IT groups or software vendor to resolve applications or infrastructure issues effecting commodity futures production (Infrastructure Teams, BA or developments Teams, third party software vendor support teams)
- Direct interaction with platform's users: assist internal users or external clients on technical or functional issues
- Problem and Incident management: root cause analysis, remediation and preventing action plan definition, users communication.
- Production's platform maintenance and evolution
- Create or update production processes documentation.
- Install and deploy new technical components in UAT and production, including releases of software.
- Setup new connectivity with exchanges, clearing houses systems

Required Skills:

- Proven Application Support Specialist in Banking working with Futures and Commodities (this is not desktop or IT support)
- Technical skills required are Windows 2003/08, Unix and Linux and Shell Scripting within an Oracle environment
- SunGard products but especially Ubix are required for this role
