Commodities Application Support/ Developer (Front Office, Commodities, LDN)

My client, world famous investment bank, is looking for a senior level application support analyst (on a permanent basis) for their London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a highly technical application support analyst or a developer who wants to move closer to the business, whilst also keep your technical skills to a specialist level.

Once in this role, your time will be split between development (approx 40%) and application support (60%). You will be responsible for the incident management and initial investigation of all support issues that are raised to the group. There is opportunity to further develop your commodities knowledge as you will be working with the business team directly, liaising with users across the Commodities world. The responsibilities of this role are not purely limited to those mentioned here, there is the opportunity to be involved in change and release management, problem management and take part in training of the global application management teams.

You will also be using the banks internal development language to improve and development new front office applications, so it will be keeping your technical skills to an extremely high level.

For this role you must have:

- Experience working in a banking or financial institution
- Excellent technical skills in a programming language (e.g. Java, C#, Python etc)
- Experience in either a development or application support role
