Commodities Front Office Application Support

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term contract (which may have the possibility of going permanent, but it cannot be guaranteed at this point) for an energy/ commodities trading house based inCentral London

My client, a top energy trading house, is looking for a support analyst to join their first line support team which sits on the trading floor. This team in particular provide comprehensive front-line support for all applications to the trading floor. These systems include in-house energy trading and risk management systems and some 3rd party vendor applications.

Once in this role, you will be providing, primarily, first line support to the commodities business, dealing with traders directly. You will be responsible for the incident management and initial investigation of all support issues that are raised to the group. There is opportunity to further develop your commodities knowledge as you will be working with the business team directly, liaising with users across the Commodities world. The responsibilities of this role are not purely limited to those mentioned here, there is the opportunity to be involved in change and release management, problem management and take part in training of the global application management teams

For this role you must have:

- ExcellentOracle PL/SQL Knowledge
- Experience in a front office investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, etc.

Ideally:

- Previous Commodities Experience is good, but not necessary
- Powerbuilder knowledge is also good, but not necessary
