Commissioning Supervisor

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Commissioning Supervisor for NGET to work on their offshore wind farm project. This is a 24mths role to start approx. 1st September 2015 up until 31st August 2017 with possibility of a further 3 months extension.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in review, preparation and coordination of detailed commissioning schedules
- Perform day-to-day supervision and management of the commissioning personnel/contractors assigned
- Control tests are carried out and documented
- Participate in tests to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Monitor and document performance test sub-systems
- Participate in the preparation of snagging lists
- Cooperate to control that all HSE procedures are implemented
- Take part in the daily site meetings
- Cooperate to control that everything within the defined technical area is covered in relation to subsequent operation
- Cooperation to control that commissioning within the technical area is documented according to the commissioning annual, rules and guildelines
- Be able to participate/perform SIT tests

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3 years of project experience required
- Basic Electrical Safety Competence (BESC)
- Full understanding UK Health and Safety legislation (Holding certificate awarded by IOSH Managing Safety as a minimum)
- Coordination skills and a talent for driving solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast paced environment
- Commissioning experience within the field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage and utility installation and components
- Experience with onshore substation work

The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone
