Contract: 5 months

Rate: £300-£400 per day DOE

Project Details: I am urgently seeking a Commissioning Manager for a role in Greater Manchester with a strong background in Mental Health, Dementia and CAMH(Child and Adolescent Mental Health services) to join the commissioning team for my CCG client. The current permanent Mental Health commissioning manager is due to relocate to another region so we are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running with this post.

The role will include commissioning and service development/re-design of the mental health strategies over primary and secondary care etc, the CCG also collaborate with other CCG's, the council and other independent hospitals. As Commissioning Manager you will also have responsibility for a service re-design project manager within the CCG and you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of the client groups are met with the highest quality Mental Health services possible.

The Commissioning Manager will be involved in meetings with strategic rehabilitation groups, steering groups, and meetings with the council, and you will manage contract meetings and forward planning documents. The ideal person will have be confident in working effectively to QIPP schemes and has several years commissioning experience for NHS providers. It would be hugely desirable if you have a clinical background and the current post holder has patient responsibility also.
