Commissioning Manager

Would you like to join an industry leader in the Power Industry. Due to a number of projects they have at present they are now looking to recruit a Substation and Transmission Projects Commissioning Manager. Role: To be responsible for commissioning all apparatus and systems within substation,overhead line and cable projects. The work will require managing electrical technicians from there subcontractor to achieve the completion of the commissioning. In addition, it will be needed to prepare commissioning procedures of the test to be performed, prepare the final commissioning dossier, contact the equipment manufacturers, prepare commissioning contract specifications, and assist to commissioning meetings with the Project Manager and property. Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring projects (air and insulated substations, overhead lines and underground lines, transformer replacements etc) Plan the site commissioning tests of the project, creating a detailed programme of works, communicate and agree with various Discipline managers,Project Managers, Suppliers, Client, Key Account Manager and Project Administrator Be able to create commissioning procedures which detail the process to be followed in each test of the different equipment (combined voltage and current transformers, disconnectors, transformers, protection equipment etc) Provide regular reports on commissioning status Experience: Significant experience in commissioning substations, transmission lines or power plants Technical Degree Experience of managing teams Health, safety and environmental legislation applicable to construction projects particularly CDM Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction and commissioning of plant apparatus, control & protection equipment of transmission network In possession of safety certificates, enough to perform and manage commissioning activities in energized areas To find out more about Huxley Associates, please visit www.huxley.com
