COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER - 11 MONTH CONTRACT

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful candidates will be required to demonstrate:

- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Initiative to identify and act upon process and service improvements
- Strong team-working skills
- A pro-active approach to the acquisition of business
- A working knowledge of a Commercial underwriting environment

JOB SPECIFICATION

Duties and responsibilities will include

- Providing a 1st class customer service
- Complying with all regulatory and internal systems controls
- Pro-actively resolving enquiries from the Agency network and Operations Team
- Providing technical advice and guidance to customers and other team members
- Analysing, underwriting and processing individual risks
- Supporting achievement of Regional growth and loss ratio targets

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 GCSE'S (OR EQUIVALENT) AT LEVEL 3 OR ABOVE, INCLUDING ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICS.

SALARY AND PACKAGE

- £17,500 - £22,000 Pro rata
- Annual bonus - 10% on basic, paid annually - split on:

company performance
Individual performance - A contributory pension scheme (dependant on what you decide to contribute will depend on NFU contribution but the maximum is shown below
- NFU - 12% (max) Employee - 8% (max)
