Robert Half Management Resources are recruiting for an Interim Commercial Project Manager for an NHS Foundation Trust and joint partner organisations to work within the Commercial Directorate a large enterprise unit within the NHS. 3 month initial contract, based in London.

The Interim Commercial Project Manager will be responsible for business operations and maximising income opportunities.

THE ROLE

- Lead on the development of the bid responses and to any related tender activity, for and on behalf of the Project Working Group.
- Support the development of the organisations target operating model; working with clinical directorates and ViaPath to deliver to the NHS England service specifications, including:
- Ascertaining potential activity volumes that could be delivered by this NHS Foundation Trust (and potential partner organisations if required)
- Agreeing operational approach to recruitment of patients and collection of samples with each directorate
- Working with clinical directorates to ensure they are able to implement the standard operating procedures required by NHS England
- Supported by commercial finance to identify revenue and capital cost requirements to deliver NHS England's requirements
- Development of mobilisation plan for the TOM
- Identify key resources/management requirements for ongoing delivery of both projects project
- Identifying and owning the risk register for both projects
- Understand the business/operational structures and pathways of the current genetic business and inter-dependencies and apply this to the projects with recommendations of required changes
- Working across directorates and other stakeholders implement the agreed structures and operational pathways.
- Liaise with the leads for both of the cancer and rare disease pilots to ensure that all learnings from pilot studies are incorporated into the TOM of the Genomic Medicine Centre bid
- To lead in planning and logistics required for any site visits related to the tender.
- Contribute to the development of the bid responses and to any related tender activity.
- Project managing the delivery of commercial projects.
- Development of project plans: work with clinical directorates and corporate areas to source and coordinate resources needed to deliver the project.
- Ensure that those functions required from the commercial team, ie financial modelling, legal, contracting, are appropriately resourced for each bid.
- Act as co-chair for project team meetings with the specialties directorate project lead.
- Opportunity for the post holder to develop their knowledge of commercial models, contracting/sub-contracting requirements, legislation and guidance relating to NHS procurement, project management from a commercial perspective.

YOUR PROFILE

- Educated to degree level desirable masters or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Must have a background with NHS/Healthcare.
- Significant clinical/operational management experience at a senior level within the Trust.
- Be a good mediator - drawing together different stakeholders and work-streams.
- Able to understand and work with different learning styles to ensure parties are communicated with in the most appropriate manner enabling optimum efficiency and outcomes for a project.
- Able to present coherent arguments and discuss strategic and operational issues with staff at all levels in a variety of different formats depending on audience.
- Ability to multi task: ability to work on several projects at one time, prioritising workload according to different timescales, pressures and importance.
- Able to interact with clinicians and operations colleagues, able to facilitate development of a project to meet objectives but minimising risk.
- Experience of successfully operating in and delivering priorities in a partnership environment.
- Dynamic, driven, solutions-driven and able to translate strategy into operational reality.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Interim Commercial Project Manager for an initial 3 months, based in London with travel across London. Up to £385pd (via Ltd Company).
