Location: Birmingham

Contract: 3 months - possibility of becoming a permanent opportunity on completion of initial contract.

Rate: up to £30.00 per hour

The Company:
A leading aerospace client, dealing in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit a commercial officer to join their busy commercial team on an initial 6 month contract, which has the possibility of becoming a permanent role. As commercial officer you will be responsible for managing new and existing commercial and contractual issues in order to minimise risk and maximise revenue for the business.
The commercial officer will be involved in the negotiation of all contractual documents, and will support the supply chain team with contractual relationships as required. A key aspect of the commercial officer's role will be dealing with internal and customer contractual queries in accordance with company policy and existing queries. As part of this the commercial officer will be involved in managing commercial disputes between the customer and client, and managing the negotiation of contract and contract amendments as required. The commercial officer will also be involved in updating commercial processes and will offer commercial training when required.

The Candidate:
As a commercial officer, you will have experience of negotiating and implementing contracts. With a background in working with suppliers and customers, you should have good negotiation and communication skills, and have a good level of commercial knowledge.
Ideally you will have a background in law, but candidates with different backgrounds who have relevant experience working in contracts and commercial roles will also be strongly considered.
