Job Purpose:
To manage the commercial/pre-contract activities on electricity infrastructure projects, which in turn supports the Capital Delivery strategy. Working within the wider Capital Delivery Team and with Global Procurement,
Experience Required:
*Experience of working with the NEC Conditions of contract - Option A or C.
*Knowledge of electricity transmission would be beneficial but not essential
*Procurement experience would be beneficial but not essential
*Developing contracting strategies and appropriate contract documents such as Contract Data and
Works Information
*Commercial assessment of tenders
*Leading or participating in commercial negotiations
*Presentations
*Effective communication skills
*Managing and monitoring KPI's
*MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Qualifications Required:
Degree in appropriate discipline desirable but not essential

Technical/Role Specific Competencies:
*Work in accordance with department procedures, to ensure contracts for projects are awarded on time and within budget to out perform RIIO.
*Expert in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
*Good working knowledge of NEC.
*Attend meetings with contractors and lead these meetings
*Provide commercial support to development and project engineers

Key Tasks:
Responsible for implementing the contracting and work allocation strategies for major projects working with the delivery teams and Global Procurement to deliver the award of construction contracts for cables, overhead lines and sub-stations to time and cost.
Additional Information:
Based at Osprey House, Castle Donington but will be required to travel as part of the role to other company offices and where required project offices. As such a full UK driving license and access to own vehicle required.
