Commercial Officer

An opportunity has arisen with one of our major public sector clients for a Commercial Officer on a 3 month contract.

The Commercial Officer will be responsible for the delivery of effective procurement activities that are fully aligned to the organisation's goals and objectives. Advising internal customers on business cases, demand management, statements of requirements, and to assist in the awareness and application of procurement policy and best practice. Active involvement in the contract management of key contracts. Support in the promotion and development of excellent internal customer and supplier relationships.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

- Extensive knowledge and experience of procurement processes (public sector preferred)
- Experience in undertaking end to end procurement projects
- Excellent commercial skills, including negotiation, cost and service management, contracting, relationship management and legal awareness.
- Experience of contract managing service contracts (preferable)
- Strong IT skills, particularly the ability to manipulate data using Excel (preferable)
