Rate: £28.42 per hour LTD

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit a Commercial Officer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Commercial Officer role is to provide comprehensive commercial and contract management support to a wide range of bids and contracts for the software and services delivery group within defence information. The role involves developing and managing innovative commercial solutions and implementing contractual strategies to the nominated project and campaign teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
The successful Commercial Officer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Provide effective and professional overall Commercial Management in accordance with the Operational Framework and organisation design
Lead and build relationships with Customers, partners and stakeholders, both internal and external, and ensure timely responses
Undertake negotiation of contracts. Instigate and negotiate unique tailored arrangements, eg Confidentiality Agreements
Manage Contracts post award, including change control management, monitoring DI's performance of its contractual obligations, management of commercial risk
Draft and negotiate Terms and Conditions of Contracts and appropriate flow down to sub-contracts, working in conjunction with Procurement
Preparation of Commercial Proposals including appropriate and innovative commercial solutions
Provide guidance and support in relation to the commercial requirements for the LCM process
Interface with internal legal and financial specialists
Work across project, disciplines and functions and engage at all levels within the Company
Understand and implement Company business and finance processes and policies including SAP Use

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Proven track record in successful contract and commercial management
Ability to work across functions and engage at all levels within the Company
Experience of working with a team of engineers and other key functional areas to develop business strategies
Experience of delivering strategic solutions and ensuring high levels of internal and external Customer satisfaction
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
High levels of organisation, personal motivation and drive
Pro-active, professional and articulate approach to dealing with customers
Motivated individual with a desire to learn & contribute
