Main Duties/Responsibilities
A position for a Commercial Officer has arisen within a defence establishment in the South West, in this role,The Commercial Officer will have the responsibility in ensuring that the Delivery Team's contractual interests and value for money objectives are secured at all times. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) and Providing Lead Commercial support to numerous Projects.

Other key activities include:
- providing sound commercial guidance and advice to DT colleagues and Project Managers in relation to all other Projects within the DT as required and/or directed by the SCO.
- All advice to be compliant with current Legislation and Corporate Policy;
- Liaison with Subject matter experts as required such as IPR, Legal, Partnering and CAAS representatives.

The Commercial Officer will also partake in all other required commercial activities such as:
- performance management of commercial arrangements
- pricing activity and negotiation;
- contract and commercial documentation drafting;
- support to the SCO.

Formal Qualifications Required
CIPS will be desirable

Additional Comments
Due to the nature of this role, holding a current security clearance will be highly advantageuos
