Capita's key utilities client is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager for a 3-6 month contract which will be based in London and the south west.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the development and the maintenance of the commercial relationship and contract performance management of high value Service Providers and oversight of the lower value contracts managed by the Commercial Analysts coupled with being responsible for cover and supporting the other Commercial Managers within the Partner Management function. You will also be responsible for overseeing the supplier relationship and contract performance management of the suppliers/partners delegated to dedicated Commercial Analyst resources.

The Commercial Manager will manage the resource within the Commercial Analyst and Contract Analyst pools to support them in all commercial activities. The role will be responsible for providing developmental opportunities to the Senior Commercial Analyst, Commercial Analysts and Contract Analysts and will be required to embrace a culture of 360 degree feedback.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

- Work closely to support the HoF with the relationship and stakeholder management across the business and with the suppliers/partners
- Work closely with the Commercial Analyst and Contract Analyst pools in particular responsible to proactively manage lower value contractual arrangements
- Work with IT Procurement to support the Procurement process and contract renewal process where necessary
- Work closely with suppliers/partners to ensure the effective delivery of contractual agreements and associated performance metrics
- Interface with IT Operations stakeholders to escalate issues of supplier/partner underperformance and assist with the development of performance improvement plans for contractual arrangements
- Work closely with IT Operations stakeholders and Strategy, Architecture
- Responsible for developing and maintaining commercial relationships with high value/high risk Suppliers/Partners and overseeing the development and maintenance of lower value contracts owned by specific Commercial Analysts
- Responsible for managing outsourced contracts building effective relationships with partners ensuring continued value is added to the business
- Responsible for working with IT Procurement to ensure that appropriate 3rd party contracts and performance metrics and arrangements are put in place for services (ie, cost, quality, timing, reporting and meets business needs).
- Provide IT Operations and contract performance management SME input to the new business/contract negotiations process led by IT Procurement
- Work, with the support of the HoF, with IT Procurement to renew contracts (contract renewals greater than £250k). Responsible for the following for all contracts:
- Lead the negotiation for contract renewal process for all contracts of value £250k or less, manage ATC and seek all relevant approvals
- Responsible for monitoring, measuring and reporting on the performance of the suppliers/partners
