Commercial Manager - London - 6 months

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for maintaining appropriate contractual controls, as well as well as ensuring the client is receiving value for money while maintaining the integrity of services at all
times. He or she will act as an adviser to the business, helping them to understand the commercial
implications of any actions or decisions, and identifying the levers that are available to use in order to
maximise benefits and achieve the best outcome.

The Commercial Manager will be expected to know and understand the provisions of the relevant contract, to be able to challenge and influence in order to get the best value for money for the client whilst protecting its interests within the constraints of the contract.

The Commercial Manager will lead a small team which manages the day to day commercial aspects of a major BPO contracts, including the limitation of financial risks, and the realisation of benefits.

Experience of delivering in ambiguous environments
Experience of working with business process outsourcing contracts/relationships
Significant experience of working in a commercial environment and understanding the broad operating context

Knowledge

Understanding of financial risk and liability, including the commercial risks associated with supply chain
Good written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislative frameworks
Working knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field.
Excellent financial management skills Working knowledge of contract law
