Commercial Manager - Mcips - SC Cleared - South West, Bristol

Commercial Manager MCIPS required for a Government client based Bristol, South West.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

The production and execution of efficient and effective procurement strategies and plans

To act as a source of procurement and commercial expertise

Achieving and demonstrating cashable savings from procurement activity.

Provide leadership to Procurement Support resources in the team.

The production and execution of efficient and effective procurement strategies and plans.

An ability to construct procurement strategies that lead to commercial outcomes that are effective and reflect the needs of stakeholders; including Procurement Business Partners Leading on high value; complex and strategically important procurement projects and manage the Procurement Support resources in the team to deliver key outputs.

Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent (eg MBA)

Candidates must have a commercial knowledge of contracting within the public sector.

The Commercial Manager will develop and deliver a Commercial induction training programme for staff new to the function.

Training scope includes:

the basics of what a contract is, how to minute a file, writing an amendment etc through to the bigger topics on IPR, pricing, KPIs and where to find out further info.

Candidate will have good training development background and ideally Governement commercial/procurement background.

Due to the urgency of this role Candidates must hold current SC Clearance.
