Commercial Manager - Financial Industry

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- An experienced Project Finance and Operations Specialist is required to assist with building this capability within a large Infrastructure Program.
- The role will be responsible for the day to day financial management and Operations/Commercial management activities and assist the Program Operations Lead in providing support to the programs and manage stakeholders and vendor for engagement and outcomes.
- Additionally they will assist the streams and the Program Operations group as part of the regular reporting cycles
- Ensures that the various elements of the project are properly co-ordinated, including the linking of Project/Milestone plan development, burn rates, Capitalisation, Landing positions, Investment Slates planning etc.
- Ensuring that where there is failure to comply with the required standards and guidelines that appropriate action is identified and implemented.
- Identifying, analysing and responding to project risks and issues, especially where it relates to slippages and time-cost over runs.

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Experience in a large project/program environment.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in Project Finance Management and pref within the Financial Services sector.
- The ability to present information to groups of people and make use of a variety of tools and techniques to convey ideas.
- Ability to convey, explain and understand information in written reports, clearly and concisely.
- Effectively manage own time and resources, a willingness to persuade, convince, influence or impress others in order to gain support for or agreement to an idea or concept.
- Understanding new concepts and working through ambiguity.
- Work to tight timelines and independently
- Ability to understand complex tasks with multiple dependencies and to systematically work through these in a timely fashion
