Commercial Manager

My client, a large public sector organisation, is currently looking for a Commercial Manager to work in their team in London. The role is working on the procurement and replacement rail franchise services.

The role holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of the procurement strategy for a specific franchise.

Key tasks will include:
* General administration tasks for Project Team in relation to the commercial programme;
* Assist with Development of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and assisting with responses
* Development of commercial strategy, building on cross-franchise policy work
* Assist with development of procurement strategy, liaising with procurement specialists to ensure best practice is followed;
* Assist with development of Invitation to Tender

Experience required:
* Experience of working on complex commercial programmes
* Experience of OJEU would be an advantage
* Partial/complete CIPS qualification
* Should have a between three to five years' experience working within procurement/commercial environments.
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Communication skills
* Influencing and leading

The role is being offered on an initial 6 month contract.
