Commercial Manager

My Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to act as a primary interface to stakeholders and suppliers, for a portfolio of subcontractors.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Good subcontractor facing skills, as well as experience of being actively involved as a team member in high-value, complex bid teams, ideally with experience of proposal and tender writing.
- A proven track record of negotiating subcontracts in a commercial environment both in the UK and in Europe
- Ability to negotiate the full tender process from RFI to award
- Experience of providing a subcontract service preferably within an engineering environment
- Experience of ownership for a portfolio of business critical subcontracts
- Ability to manage subcontractors in line with commercial strategies
- Ability to manage to a schedule and securing the support of others to achieve targets
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to efficiently implement a commercial strategy across a high profile category base
- Strong communicator with excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to make decisions within parameters set by manager
- Strong stakeholder management skills are essential
- Ability to operate effectively within a Matrix management environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
