Commercial Lead - Energy Markets

Opportunity for an individual with experience and knowledge of debt financing and energy markets to provide commercial advice as part of a large programme.

Candidates must have energy sector experience (Essential) and be able to start a new assignment at short notice.

Deliverables:
*Design a pre-qualification and auction process that enables competitive and cost effective contracting of the capacity required
*Develop capacity agreement terms and appropriate penalties for failing to deliver against them
*Ensure the right balance of risk between investors and the Government
*Evaluation of any existing contract terms
*Coordinate the communication and testing of the policy with investors

Skills required:
*A track record and experience in the UK energy market
*Financial markets experience (debt and/or equity) allied to an understanding of the energy markets
*Solid commercial understanding of the dynamics of the energy market
*Capable of articulating and presenting core analytical issues for a variety of audiences at all levels
*Ability to analyse company accounts, business ratios and the financing and strategic decisions made by companies
*Data handling skills including use of analytical tools and techniques such as modelling and spreadsheets
*Transactional experience with a UK energy supplier

Rate £400-500/day

6 Month interim assignment commencing on: August 19th.
