Background
Our client is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager for a 10 month contract based in London. The core deliverable areas are: 1. Delivering the assessment of the Existing Commercial Landscape which may impact the delivery of the programme - design an approach to enable actions to resolve to ensure delivery of the right outcome for the organisation(s) and renegotiate of client requirements as and when 2. Leading on Supplier Integration - with regards to relationship and cost/contractual impact upon the client ICT organisation. There are a number of specific challenges and scope areas that need to be worked up through the mobilisation. Our client is currently conducting a massive procurement activity and will be awarding contracts by the summer.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
* Clarity on the ability to terminate current contracts by Tower and the associated cost, working with the client's Finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any benefits. Clarity on any renegotiation of existing contracts that is necessary to support the programme's goals. Share with external and internal stakeholders the proposed and emerging views on the Transitions and Plans to help suppliers plan exit activities. Act as the primary focal point between the incumbent supplier(s) and the programme for matters pertaining to the Programme;. Designing approach to effectively address the existing commercial landscape (scope and scale to be defined and agreed) by providing a method of treatment in order to reduce any unknown risks to the programme. Facilitating the management of associated cost and budgets in relation to any negotiation, exit and/or termination. Manage the impact of existing commercial financial models. Establish and incorporate new Vendors into any emerging Vendor Management Operating model. Work with the Vendor Management function to provide sight of the commercial engagement from Legacy and new vendors

Skills/Experience Required
ESSENTIAL. Experience in due diligence and major risks associated with closing or amending large IT contracts. Ability to lead project teams ensuring key deliverables are met. The successful candidate will be an experienced IT professional with a background in working with multiple out-sourced vendors. Operates comfortably at senior levels in a variety of situations. You will possess strong communications, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills. Has wide and detailed IT knowledge, together with detailed understanding of the principles of business and markets and sound experience of relevant business sectors. Knows how to make and sustain a business case through effective benefits management, and demonstrates the ability to make, and take responsibility for, adventurous and innovative decisions on major technical and service delivery issues. Has an analytical and creative approach to problem solving. You will possess strong planning and organisation skills. Experience of working in a complex multisource sourcing programme with a matrixed delivery model. Mapping experience
