Job Title Commercial Intelligence Consultant

Reports to (title) Director Digital & Commercial Transformation
Position Customer Intelligence Consultant
Location Brussels
MISSION
The mission of the commercial intelligence consultant is to push data analytics of the RETAIL department to the next level. She/He analyses data and helps the data transformation manager to close the gap between predictive modelling, analytics and reporting on the one hand and the data warehouse and operational processes on the other hand. She/he will need to engage a profound SAS expertise for the development of new data streams. On top of this she/he shares the SAS expertise with other team members of the data transformation team. In addition she/he helps the data team with the reporting transition to Qliksense. The consultant takes the position of midfielder and facilitates the collaboration between the data scientists of the team.
TASKS
Helping with the re-organization and optimization of the Datamodelling landscape by decommissioning and replacing obsolete data streams
Help the data team develop SAS skills by helping them realize their goals at best practice
Assist in the transition towards Qliksense of existing reporting & analytics
Evaluate the current data streams developed up-to-date with a critical eye
Help the team deliver operational models and reports
Help documenting the data streams and modelling processes
Help with the development of data markets on top of the analytical layer as a basis for the future modelling environment for the team.
Facilitate and communicate within the team to guarantee consistency of the delivery
Background
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Master degree in statistics, engineering, economy or a related field, or equivalent through training or experience
Preferably at least 3 years experience in commercial or business intelligence
Strong analytical ability, accurate & result driven
Team player with commercial feeling, customer focus and proactive in way of working
Experience in the energy market is a plus
Extensive expertise in SAS
Communication skills, both verbal and written
Fluent in Dutch, French and English is a plus
Knowledge of BI systems (SPSS modeller, BO, SAS, Qliksense, Oracle)
