Commercial Finance Manager

Our client, a large Transportation Organisation, requires support of an Interim Commercial Manager to assist on a rail franchise bid.

The main focus of this role is to support the senior management team on the negotiations of a new contract for the provision of services until a new franchise agreement can be awarded. This is a rail revenue focused assignment that requires a very sound understanding of TOC finance and commercial operations across a broad range of Commercial aspects (in particular revenue allocation) to give support to the subject matter experts within the commercial team. This will also extend to other functions such as the management of the clarification questions from the DfT. To be successful in this post you will also need to be able to write a compelling proposal on a wide range of subjects such as fleet and timetables and customer services. This assignment would also potentially involve managing the contract variations as well.

We would like to speak to rail professionals who have experience within Rail franchise bidding have a solid understanding of a broad range of commercial and financial elements within this industry and have held a mid senior/senior position within a TOC.
