Commercial Finance Analyst - 6 months - Nottingham - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utilities client is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their site in Nottingham to provide Financial Analysis for a series of leading Stakeholders.

Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who comes from a financial background, and is looking to further their career in this field. Strong experience with SAP will be required as Month End and MTP forecasting/budgeting form part of this role.

While a key aspect of the role will include financial reporting and analysis. You will have one direct report who manages a team of 12 co-ordinators on a day to day basis but with the overall support from the Connection Services Team Manager.

Connection Services co-ordinate and manage gas and electricity infrastructure and metering for industrial and commercial customers supporting and generating new sources of profit through this added value service.

* Ownership and production of monthly MTP (Medium Term Plan) reporting and analysis
* Responsible for ensuring financial viability of projects
* Managing a team of Senior/Project Co-ordinators, delivering a technical connection service for both Gas and Electricity
* Ensure all processes and procedures continue to meet the requirements of relevant industry and SHE standards and accreditations such as ISO 9001,1400,18001 etc.
* Maintaining relationships with external and internal customers.
* Managing and maintaining relationships with external Contractors.
* Ensuring all my actions and behaviours treat our customers fairly and comply with regulations.

Qualifications

Key Skill Requirements

Essential
* Demonstrable financial experience including MTP (Medium Term Plan), reporting and SAP knowledge.
* Previous commercial and negotiation experience with customers.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Proven strong communication skills with potential stakeholders at all levels (client, supplier, contractor, energy provider, regulator, etc.)
