Commercial Energy Analyst, London £35-45k

In the competitive business to business energy markets, the demand for bespoke contracts for large industrial and commercial customers is on a rising trend, and fiercely competitive. As part of the bespoke pricing team a Commercial Analyst is required to structure, price and tailor bespoke Gas and Power supply solutions to these high value strategic B2B customers. Working in a project based environment where deals can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years, you will interact very closely with EU sales teams, and act as the commercial lead for high value strategic customer tenders. The successful candidate will demonstrate a rare blend of strong technical, financial, and risk knowledge, but also have excellent communication and negotiation skills to face clients appropriately. Structuring deals with high level of clients in this space will provide the successful candidate with fantastic market knowledge to help further their career. The successful candidate will have a relevant technical degree, plus prior experience in an analytical Pricing or Risk role within the Energy supply industry. This is not a pure Pricing Analyst role however, and experience in contract negotiation and client relationship management is required. The following knowledge is also required: - Demonstrable numerical analytical skills, including Excel and some VBA modelling ability - Previous experience within the Energy markets, and excellent knowledge of the power markets in particular - Good client relationship skills and experience in a project-based environment - Presentation skills and negotiation skills Working within a large multinational and well-known energy company the potential for long-term career progression is excellent.
