Commercial Contracts Lawyer

*The role is for a solicitor to provide maternity cover comprising legal support in relation to commercial contracts and data protection.
*This role arises due to the planned departure of the solicitor who covers this work on maternity leave in April.
*The successful candidate will work with and support the Head of Shared Internal Services who, as part of her role, covers General Commercial & Internal Projects.

The main responsibilities will be:
*to review, advise on, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts for SG in London (the candidate should have particular experience of IT related contracts).
*to provide specific legal advice and assistance in the context of personal data protection issues arising from time to time.

EDUCATION
*University graduate.
*Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (or analogous common law qualification eg other UK/Australia/New Zealand/South Africa and intention of taking English QLTT)
*Relevant training and post-qualification experience
*Fluent English (written and spoken)

*Communicates clearly and effectively.
*High level of attention to detail.
