Commercial and Subcontract Specialist

Global defence client are in the market for an experienced Commercial Subcontract Specialist with government or defence MOD background.

Ability to work stand alone on a number of exercises with latitude in determining approach to managing routine and non-routine contracts/subcontracts of moderate value and complexity.

You will identify and manage commercial risk.

Lead Contract/Subcontract Management strategy in respect of supplier selection and responses to customer Requests for Proposals.

Negotiates Contracts/Subcontract Agreements and changes. Interfaces internally and externally at senior level.

Contributes to Business Area strategies.

Main Duties:
Preparation of Contract/Subcontract management strategies and plans at Business Area and Programme level.
Development of innovative Contract/Subcontract solutions (including selection of suppliers/solutions) in support of responses to Requests for Proposal
Negotiates Non-Standard Agreements and changes
Identifies and manages risk and opportunity, working collaboratively with customers, subcontractors and other project team members
